06z EURO still warns of a possible bad swath of rain.

That’s the furthest north I’ve seen the heaviest rain. Does the euro have the “center” going much further inland on that run?

Yeah, we don't need that solution. That would drop a tremendous amount of water specifically into the Amite watershed. That is not good news for those who live along the Amite and Comite rivers in and around Baton Rouge. Don't read "2016" into that but it won't be a good outcome. 

As Zach mentioned a little while ago on Fox 8 (paraphrasing) , it looks like Nicholas appears to (may be) trying to work its' way back offshore. One or more models indicated this may happen. He also mentioned that it shouldn't all of a sudden intensify. Main threat would continue to be the heavy rain. We have picked about an inch and a quarter here in my neighborhood in Thibodaux since midnight. Battling with tarp on roof. having to punch holes to allow for where some of the water is gathering where I doubled it up. Hope I didn't make things worse by doing that.
