I’m paying attention to these cluster storms today. That movement angle is near perfect for tornados down here.. Not all the dynamics are there but the ENE movement is.
I thought the same thing. Never really noticed it until discussion here recently centered around that eastward to ENE movement in south Louisiana and then I realized that the most intense storms here have moved that way. Definitely true for southern Louisiana.
One of the 2017 metro tornados came through my back yard. That day had more and made me really analyze movement. If u look at major S LA and Miss historical bad tornados it’s that type of movement. Look up the early 1900’ Amite to Purvis Miss tornado. I’ve mentioned this one before. It was horrific. Natchez has had it’s share also.

My son is fishing a tournament in Smith Lake out of Cullman, AL. He's out there today in shorts with 100% chance of snow tonight. As much as I love winter, I wouldn't want to be out on the boat tomorrow.

That means 27% chance of sleet and freezing rain with ten minutes of flurries on the back end of moisture in south Louisiana.

I'd bet on northern Alabama snow...they are much better positioned than we ever are for the ULLs
