I have cool vue roll down shutters on the front of my house for the past 15 years… one of the best investments I made… even though I have impact glass I still added the shutters on the 4 - 3x6 windows and the 6x8 front door that face the beach. Only takes a couple of minutes to operate, going down is effortless, going back up takes a little effort only on the large front door… which but the way is spring assisted. Motor control was much more expensive… highly recommend them.. great for security as well, roll them down every time I go out of town.. I used them last week and will again use them for Wednesday..

Not much change on the 12z HRRR. It doesn't maintain a complete linear structure as it moves from west to east. There are multiple embedded cells within the line.

The one, small, silver lining to last week’s tornadoes, is that hopefully more people realize, though an individual risk is small, that there is a big risk, to some unknown area.
Hoping for a bust but last week right when I thought Louisiana was going to be ok, boom here came the Arabi tornado. Just because my area was ok and unharmed, still makes me sad when others were not so lucky. Esp since it also resulted in the loss of a life

Unless the SPC is confident in a derecho type impact, I don't see how it could go high without support for discrete cells in front to increase the tornado threat.

I need to speak to whoever made those risk outlines. We couldn't get that last little corner of southwest Hancock County, MS in the MDT risk? Come on.
But seriously...that's a massive hatched area; however, the high STP numbers are generally along and south of I-20 according to the HRRR and 3km NAM. What gives?
