One thing I have noticed about these June evenings is that once it gets to 7:00 p.m., it's actually quite pleasant out. That dead calm of humidity is not lingering in the air as it always has. I mean, so far, if you can get through the oppressive heat and spirit-crushing humidity of the daytime then you'll be okay!

Yesterday morning felt great as well. Heck, I had the yard cut before 730am lol

Watching local news and weather coverage this morning and I don't think the heavy rain threat Sunday/Monday is getting enough attention. We look like we will have 2-3" widespread with locally closer to 5" within the next 3 days. One meteorologist explicitly saying most will stay over the gulf...yes, the late week stuff with the low going into Mexico/South Texas, but tomorrow/Monday will have multiple inches of rain.

QPF is a little elevated as well with 5 - 8" along the coast. We all know if any of those bands set up and trains, things can get dicey pretty fast.

Holy cow it’s humid on the south shore this morning. Many stations show dew points running 78-82. Models initializing on the lower end of that or below altogether. That’ll under forecast coverage and intensity of rainfall.

Of course.... After a week of being sick (sinuses still kicking my behind), I get out to cut the overgrown yard....and it starts raining.

Radar looked clear before. A quick shower has passed but threw a cog in my plans for sure. No, not going to bag wet grass..

Several SE to NW oriented bands look to set up and train over the same areas beginning toward midday and lasting into the evening hours. With rain rates over 2" an hour and potentially training for a few hours, it would not shock me to see isolated 6-8" amounts, but widespread looks like an average of 2-3".

Sun shining in Thibodaux and luckily my son able to do swim. Yesterday the radar looked horrible so we didn’t get in the pool as planned at home. But it ended up being a bust and we really didn’t get anything except for an hour shower before lunch.
