You could see the big convective burst overnight…the cirrus fanned out to the north and east while the south and west side stayed flat then the convection collapsed. Classic dry air entrainment.

Just a thought. I am wondering how a delayed organization could perhaps change the future path. Let's say (hypothetically) the system continues to be sheared and the low-pressure area moves closer to or over the Yucatan Peninsula. Would it not feel the influence pulling a more organized system to the north, thereby delaying that turn until it is further west once organization has occurred?

Thanks!  The problem is that I usually do read the discussions because I'm enthralled by weather even though I don't understand it all that much.  It was late, and I was busy answering some student messages on problems with their quizzes.  Just got lazy and didn't pay attention as closely as I should have.  I appreciate it though! 

I know a lot of people who are traveling to Atlanta for the Saints game this weekend. What kind of condition should they expect once she makes landfall and makes her way inland?

The center appears to be on the far western fringes of the convection.
