I think it’s amazing that the rules of weather forecasting are so true and finite such that a storm’s path can be determined based on synoptic set up. There’s a ridge? Storm not going there. There’s a trough? Trough will erode ridge and take the storm with it. No trough, ridge going to hold steady. Really is neat that humans can actually forecast the path of these monsters from Mother Nature.
