[H]HURRICANE MILTON - GULF OF MEXICO

I’ll try! Looks like “hot spots” may continue in the Gulf and extreme SW Caribbean through October. Not that unusual but definitely more pronounced this year…at least to me and others. Typically by the 2nd n 3rd weeks of October the storms are shunted away from the W n Central Gulfcoast by the aggressive jet stream that returns for fall and winter. We did have Hurricane Juan linger along the LA coast for a week I believe in 1985…. unusual but not out of the question. Once we get past October 15th though, if not earlier, the Florida peninsula becomes the final CONUS hotspot for the year. In fact, I believe October is Florida’s busy part of the season.
