This is so much worse than Katrina for those poor people.
I betcha' next predicted slow moving TS- gonna be a hurricane/ back to TS there will be mandatory evacs. Those poor people are/were thinking its just a Cat 1- same as my thinking- and look what happened.

The water is high in Eden Isles in Slidell. With where we are in the storm, do you think the water in the lake will rise several more feet before this thing is over? Do you think Eden Isles/Oak Harbor will flood again?
BTW, my uncle lives in Laplace and has no water in his home.

Flooding and rescue mission taking place I lewisberg estates in mandeville. Via st Tammany parish Facebook. Water has also reached Monroe street from lakeshore drive. 6p-6a curfew
Most likely but it's not over until it's over and there is still a lot of bands before it will be over. The band going thru GPT right now looks to have a bit of a punch and will be making it's way through Slidell at some point.
