The Euro has been trending more west with each run, but has also been showing a very deep trough that would pick it up. However if there's no trough, game is on. Then again, if there is a trough and it gets to the gulf, the north gulf coast is open for business.
Earlier GFS runs quickly organized and strengthened 93L in the short term which made it feel a weakness in the Bermuda ridge. This run keeps it weak until it's north of the Antilles and then it begins organizing.
That would totally suck on so many levels. I have a camping trip to the Smoky Mtns. planned for that week; I already canceled it once due to the deaths of two of our cats this summer. I don't want to be self-absorbed about this, however; there are millions in Houston who would trade aggravations with me.

Gosh mother nature what got you so mad at the gulf coast?
I think it was Deni (NDG) who mentioned a few weeks back that there was data to indicate that mid-August and September would start to have an almost La Nina pattern; if true, maybe this is the fruit of it, who knows.

Good thing is it's so far in the future....yet again, something that will keep us model watching every 4 hours and guarantee that our headaches stay in place to keep Tylenol and Advil in business.

Well, we gotta do what we gotta do. As you have stated, it's so far away yet; anything can (and usually does) happen.
I vote for total dissipation.

Between the tropics and weddings, it seems nothing respects the college football season anymore. In all seriousness, I hope this thing just meanders in the ocean until it dies a slow death.

Nolabama, I am so down with that line of thinking! I've had enough for awhile. Again, I know I'm in a good place compared to our friends in Texas; I should not be bellyaching.
