It was close to the same, as last night's 0z run. A little stronger, a tad bit more to the south. 18z GFS, running now.

18zGFS adds a new twist. Instead of pulling out, to the northwest, after 6 days or so, it only pulls away, maybe a couple of hundred miles, to the ESE, keeping the wind flow pushing into the coast. Animation in a few, once the run completes.

A category 4 that hangs around for a couple days? Yes, I’m sure comparisons to Katrina would be thrown around. Everyone in that entire area should at least be prepared for a historic event.
