HURRICANE DELTA Discussion Thread

A little hope anyways from this excerpt of the 10pm discussion:

"Delta could intensify a little more within the next
6 hours or so. Thereafter, sharply decreasing oceanic heat content,
significantly increasing west-southwesterly shear, and drier
mid-level air should cause weakening."

Whose to know how much until it happens.

I dropped a pin on Google Earth on the 4pm forecast landfall and the 10 pm landed dead on the 4 pm pin..

Now comes how much of a NNE vector do we see? That is the question everyone will be looking at.

As I wind down here, caught the wind graphic on WWL TV. That particular graphic ( yellow circle) does not have NOLA in it. I buy it. I’m having a hard time imagining anything more than some 40mph gusts if that. Good night my friends. Big day tomorrow for all us nerds.

Bob Hope at TWC used to say it all the time, for most times it is a true indication of an eventual turn.
