This has definitely been a backlogged busy season when everyone was complaining about it being a huge bust when there was no activity for almost all of August and almost til mid Sept til we got Francine. Terrible season for the gulf coast and the Carolinas that had to deal with massive flooding.

I’ll be watching this closely as I have family in Palmetto, Sarasota and Ft. Myers. Can’t believe we have another one making a monster run. Tough times for the west coast of FL. My heart goes out to them and everyone else affected by Helene.

This is EXACTLY why you take all forecasts for what they are. Forecast. Until something has formed (or not) forecasts are just scientific predictions. They are not the end game. And Milton’s real end game had yet to be finalized.
