Both the models below were showing a Florida landfall on yesterday's 12z run and both have shifted west on their 00z runs. Models may change, but since it is still a little early to tell what will transpire, it's best to keep a watchful eye.
Big fan and follower since the WWL forum days so please excuse me if this is a dumb question is anything that develops going to be the type of system where all the moisture is on one side or more like a classic tropical system and are conditions in the gulf forecasted to be favorable for major strenghthing? I understand it doesn’t have to be a hurricane or even a tropical storm to drop a lot of rain and cause major problems like what happened with flooding in 2016. Again thanks for all the valuable information all the experts on this board provides.

Upper level conditions don't look all that bad during the time frame. The good thing is it should be moving rather quickly. It won't be one of those slow movers that just sit over an area. Welcome...glad to have you
