The exciting thing, for the recovery in south Louisiana, is that this won't be a "one front wonder". Here are the low temps for this Friday. as well as the expected low temps for October 5. Of course, the temperature will modify in between, but it is great to see the backbone of the summer heat, being broken.
I always tell people the first front kills summer, just takes a little while for it to die sometimes.
One of the funny things up here on CO for me, a gulf coast lifer till this year, is how locals talk about winter like we do summer.
Yeah I worked at a camp in Wisconsin a couple of summers several years ago. I told them how delightful their early summer weather is compared to SE LA. They responded by telling me to come up in January and see how I feel about their weather then.
