the second line is suppose to be here around five. at 5 am as for the info on weather under ground my temp will be 68 it will feel like 70 and the dew point will be 67 and pressure will be 29.84.....is that better for more or less severe chances here in port barre? sorry just trying to wrap my head better around weather .
Pouring again! Wow.... one normal thing in our new viral lifestyle. Metal porch roof screaming with rain. Now severe warned for Jefferson Parish. TV alert working.
Well, I guess we don't count here for the NOLA news stations...this weather is extremely bad right now...the wind is stronger than any storm we had in at least 6 years...but no coverage! I'm taking about the South Lafourche area...Cut Off, LA

For this system, the warmer on the ground the stronger the potential storms. I mean, that's true for most weather tbh.
What kind of detector do you have and do you like it? I want one . TX
It is a stand-alone Acurite unit. It senses lightning up to 20 miles away and counts up to 99 strikes. Batteries last about 6 months. $26.87 on ebay. I have been very pleased with it.
They do make a more expensive version as part of their high-end weather station.
Anyone else feel like this system sitting on top of SELA kind of has a "tropical" look to it on radar? I swear I'm seeing a subtle rotation with a feeder wrapping around a central area over the northshore.

Gota say, the local news sites need to go back to local meteorologists' forecasts. I really miss WWL's twitter feeds from the weather center. Whatever farm does 4,6,8 are very very bad.

Its a classic bow echo.
Thanks, just looked that up and now it makes much more sense with what I'm seeing on the radar. The more you know. Been lurking here for years, learn something new with every system that moves through.
