BTW, if the NAO continues negative through the summer and as the NMME shows, most of the action will be to east of the central gulf coast, either over FL/east coast and or east of Bermuda.

The official start is still June 1.
The eastern Pacific season starts on the 15th of May, but NHC with be starting tropical weather outlooks for both the EPAC and Atlantic on May 15th.

I guess that means a basic hot high pressure blocking summer death ridge.

Well sorry for Florida and don’t wish for anyone to be hit this year, but gulf coast is hurting so bad from last year. My friends in Lake Charles are still picking up the pieces. Tarps on almost all the roofs
